Snoring can usually be treated, or at least improved, by the use of special anti-snoring mouth appliances. These can be custom-fitted to ensure that they are as effective as possible. The mouthpieces are then worn throughout the night. They work by positioning the jaw to allow air to flow more freely through the airwaves and reduce the vibration of the soft tissue.
At the initial consultation appointment your dentist will advise on the most appropriate treatment after carefully assessing your case. If an anti-snoring mouthpiece is required then we will take an impression to ensure that it fits as accurately as possible. A further appointment is required when the mouthpiece is ready, where your dentist will show you how to use and adjust it for optimum performance and comfort.
